Patient and Nurse

COMMUNITY CARE ASSISTANT

Full time and part-time / bank positions available.

Full specialist training provided. Further training and NVQ qualifications offered free of charge.

Must hold a full UK driving license. Full travel time and mileage paid.

Experience desirable but not necessary.

Providing care and support to vulnerable adults within the local communities of Tamworth, Lichfield and surrounding areas.

COVID safe ways of working with full personal protective equipment provided.

SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT

Senior HCA will work under the direction of the Registered Manager and/or Care Coordinator.

You will be confident in carrying out administrative duties as well as delivering direct care and support to our service users.

A fantastic job opportunity for an experienced care worker, forming part of the management team of a reputable domiciliary care agency.

The senior will be responsible for the following:

Assisting with the activities of daily living and personal care.

Supervising a team of carers, providing support and assistance.

Complete reviews and assessments on Service Users as and when required.

Reporting any issues to the management team.

Complete and maintain records of daily activities, observations, and direct hours of service.

Ensure service is delivered in accordance with all relevant policies, procedures and practices.

Carry out duties as assigned by the Registered Manager

Attend induction, in-house training sessions and staff meetings.

Managing Staff Monitoring, Spot Checks and After Call Spot Checks.

Maintaining Customer files ensuring all allocated customers files are checked and updated 4 weekly.

Identifying staff training requirements and implementing any training sessions needed.

Ensuring continuity of care for the service users of Tamworth Home Care.

Assisting other members of the management team with manning the emergency out of hours phone.

Supporting staff through required training such as the Care Standards.

Carrying out general office duties and administration, updating customer communication logs & Personal files customer paperwork, auditing and filing weekly ensuring there is no back log of paperwork.

Being respectful, maintaining confidentiality within all aspects of job role and leading by example at all times. e.g. correct uniform.

Any Service User concerns to be reported immediately to the office.

Following up all concerns promptly and effectively, seeking the help of the relevant members of the management team, ensuring the best outcome for both customers and staff.

It takes a very special and dedicated person to become a senior carer. It is physically and emotionally demanding but with the job satisfaction that you will receive it will make the job worth it. With the qualifications that are open to you and the experience that you will gain during your time as a senior carer, it will give you good opportunities to climb the career ladder in the care industry.

 

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

40 hours per week, Alternate weekends.

Salary: £25,584.00 per year
